Community Resource Fair and Fundraising Showcase
Decatur, GA – The DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office, led by Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-
Stribling, will host its signature community fundraiser, Dancing with the DeKalb Stars, on Saturday,
April 18, 2026, at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in Decatur
The evening begins with a Community Resource Fair at 5:00 PM, followed by the start of the dance
competition at 6:00 PM. The event runs through 9:00 PM. This annual fundraiser brings together
community leaders, local professionals, and choreographers for an evening of entertainment with
purpose. Participants will take the dance floor to raise critical funds supporting victim services and
domestic-violence prevention efforts throughout DeKalb County.
Proceeds from Dancing with the DeKalb Stars will directly benefit International Women’s House and
Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence, two organizations providing essential advocacy,
shelter, and support services to survivors and families in DeKalb County.
“This event is about more than dancing. It is about showing up for survivors and making sure families
know help is available,” said Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling. “Every ticket purchased and
every donation made strengthens the safety net for victims right here in our community.”
She added, “Beginning with a community resource fair and culminating in an exciting dance showcase,
this evening reflects the power of partnership, service, and compassion. Together, we are building
safer neighborhoods and brighter futures.” Community members can participate by purchasing
tickets, becoming sponsors, donating to dance teams, or making general contributions. Staff members
of the DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office are also encouraged to get involved by volunteering,
joining the office dance team, assisting with planning, and helping promote the event.
