Thank You DeKalb for Supporting
the Youth Safe Driving Summit !
The DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office cordially invites you and your teen to attend the Youth Safe Driving Summit, an essential event focused on equipping you with the knowledge to make safe and responsible decisions behind the wheel. With the alarming rise in dangerous driving behaviors, such as illegal street racing and speeding in our community, this Summit is a critical opportunity to address the risks that threaten young drivers and our roads.
DeKalb County Solicitor-General Announces 2nd Annual Youth Safe Driving Summit
DECATUR, Ga. — DeKalb County Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling hosts the 2nd Annual Youth Safe Driving Summit on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rehoboth Church, 2997 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker.
The FREE October 3, 2026 event connects teens and parents with driving safety education, interactive experiences and community resources. Designed for teens ages 14 and older and their parents or guardians, it brings young drivers and families together with public safety professionals, driving safety advocates and community partners for an engaging day focused on making safer choices behind the wheel.
“Learning to drive represents independence and opportunity for young people, but it also comes with tremendous responsibility,” said Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling. “Our Youth Safe Driving Summit gives teens an opportunity to learn, ask questions and experience important safety lessons in a setting that is interactive, fun, and relevant to them. We also want parents to be part of that conversation because safe driving habits are reinforced long after a young driver leaves this event.”
The summit features interactive activities, including the Ault Big Wheel Club, driving safety education, community resources and opportunities for teens to engage directly with professionals who work in traffic safety, law enforcement, insurance and driver education.
The event builds on the success of the Solicitor-General’s inaugural Youth Safe Driving Summit and reflects the Office’s continued commitment to prevention, education and community engagement as important components of public safety.
