Round and round we went, and the learning never stopped.

Employees of the DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office took part in an interactive office-wide meeting designed to strengthen understanding, collaboration and connection across the organization.

Using a round-robin format, employees moved in small groups from presenter to presenter as leaders from the office’s various units and programs shared three key things they want colleagues to know and understand about their work.

The rotating format kept employees engaged while creating an opportunity to learn more about programs they may not interact with every day. It also gave longtime staff a chance to reconnect with the broader mission of the office and see how each unit contributes to the work of serving DeKalb County.

From legal teams and investigative functions to victim services, diversion, community engagement and administrative support, the presentations highlighted the different responsibilities across the office while reinforcing the importance of collaboration.

The meeting concluded with remarks from Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling, who encouraged employees to remain focused on the people they serve and on finding solutions.

“We are victim-centered and community oriented. We pursue justice, not just convictions. We offer solutions over problems,” Coleman-Stribling told employees.

Her message underscored the common purpose shared across the office: to serve victims, support the community and pursue justice with professionalism, compassion and a solutions-focused approach.

The office-wide meeting also served as a reminder that while employees may work in different units and perform different roles, each team contributes to the same mission and the same commitment to the people of DeKalb County.
