Honors continue to pour in for the late Dr. Thomas L. Coleman, father of DeKalb County Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling.

Today, roughly three weeks after his passing, the Georgia State House of Representatives honored Dr. Thomas L. Coleman with a proclamation and moment of silence during its Feb. 24, 2026, legislative session. House members recognized Dr. Coleman’s lifelong dedication to community service in DeKalb County and across the State of Georgia.

State Rep. Omari Crawford read a message of gratitude from the Solicitor, sharing how her father truly loved serving others, and helping anyone who asked, whether a political friend or foe… always working to find agreement.

Dr. Coleman’s legacy of service, compassion, and leadership continues to resonate far beyond his years. We are grateful for today’s recognition and for every tribute that honors a life so well lived.
