Neighborhood Watch

Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling supports and encourages the creation of neighborhood watch groups that are committed to helping to make our community safer and improving the quality of life for everyone.  These groups are one of the most effective and least costly ways to prevent crime and reduce fear.  They forge bonds among residents, helps reduce and deter crime, and also improves relations between law enforcement and the communities they serve.  The DeKalb County Police Department has excellent resources to assist you in the establishment of your watch program.  Each DeKalb County Police precinct has a Public Education Specialist who can guide you through the process, and the City of Atlanta Police Department has a Crime Prevention inspector who can help you.
